Today we set up the pool. We have one of those aqua leisure pools. Oh you know, the ones with the big inflatable ring that somehow magically holds 2200 gallons of water up.
Before setting up the pool I tried to level off the ground where we were to place it. Odd thing about our backyard is that even though it looks somewhat level, it is actually one giant hill after another. After raking, digging, and meticulously searching for that stray rock or twig, we laid out the pool. I thought for sure it would be level... well it wasn't, worst yet there is a jagged rock under it too. But since it was already filled up, there's not a whole lot I can do.
Did I mention the ants? Supposedly the pool had been the home to every ant in the state until I decided to remove the pool from our shed, and disrupt their little lives. I'm talking like millions upon millions of ants. I've never seen so many ants in my life. They started climbing up my arms, and my legs. It was really creepy.
I'm still trying to figure out how to Jerry-rig up some sort of pool heater, to turn it into a jacuzzi, but I haven't come up with a ingenious plan using anything I have. A few years back I found a website, where a guy used a coffee maker to heat his pool, but we like coffee too much to take apart the coffee machine, I'm sure I'll think of something, right before fall. |
