Cure for being Gay

The new X-men 3 movie is here. The plot is that there is a cure for being a mutant and the mutants must choose to take the cure or be against society.

So this got me thinking about what if there was a pill for homosexuality? The person could take it and then forever be straight again.

Now this is a little far-fetched but let's just roll with it. So let's hear from those who like the same gender and those who don't.

If you're gay, would you consider taking the pill? Would it make life easier? Would you feel you lost your identity?

What I think may be the most dangerous question: Is who you are defined by what you're attracted to?

If you're straight, do you think those who are gay should be forced to take the pill? Would it solve a lot of issues or just make us goose-stepping nazis?

Would straight people take a pill if homosexuality was the norm?

No.

Most people who are gay, don't think the gay lifestyle is wrong. The only reason they would choose to take a pill is to relinquish any anguish from social pressures that our culture places on them. Most people aren't going to take a pill simply to fit in. Especially when you ask the question of most people who are settled down, living with their partners, or happily have a family. The assumption is most gay people are unhappy and toiled with the living a sinful life, but in reality most gay people are happy and better functioning people then their straight counterparts, with absolutely no qualms about their lifestyle.
