This was his first year in kids pitch and his very young team won the championship in his age bracket! He played the Spears YMCA in the 10-12 kids pitch league.
They had one loss the entire season and they ended up meeting, and beating, that team in the tournament finals.
This was definately a "coming of age" year for my son in baseball. He's a late bloomer like me and you could tell with his skills and performance he's really starting to grasp the subtle concepts of the game.
I hope he enjoys it enough to continue to play. I don't care if he's a super star or just an average player. I just want him to have the experience and joy of being part of a team.
And I got this crazy idea of me and him playing league softball together on the same team when he's older. His old man has still got a cannon for an arm. _________________ Procrastinate now, don't wait until later.
