WOW, Ok so like I haven't posted for awhile because first, I went on vacation, then I got REALLY sick and then I was going to hockey games every other night and then we freaking WON THE STANLEY CUP! and then I partied for like a week and am just now coming back to the real world. It cost me like 600 bucks to go to game seven but it was totally worth it! If I knew how to post pictures on here, I have some great photos of the big win to share with you all.
Congratulations North Carolina!
You have your first National Championship!

Yes, the Canes were victorious! (I knwo this is a bit late, but I just stumbled upon this site yesterday). I was one of the lucky people that has a brother who had an extra ticket to game seven, and, just, WOW. Definitely in the top ten list of most amazing experiences of my life. I've probably attended around 40 games in the RBC over the years, and I've never seen it with that much energy! And when we hit that empty net goal... oh. my. god. that place freakin EXPLODED.

And it must be said: The Oilers fans in attendance were GREAT fans. I had heard lots of stories about how terrible the Sabres fans were, and it was the exact opposite with htese guys; 100% classy people. The ones in our section were friendly and respectful; they all stayed for the presentation of the Cup, and they clapped right along with the rest of us while it was presented. I told one of them how impressed I was with them, and e just responded "Well, we just love hockey." And that's exactly how all sports shoould be; of course you're going to be pasionate about your team, but there's no reason to be hostile towards fans of other teams; I mean, we're all rooting for the same sport... plus, it's just the decent way to be.

Well, they have dismantled the team. Looks like another year to depend on a good, very good coach and some providential bounces.

Go WINGS GO!
