Your going to have to forgive me, because this week has been one trying week for me. This is old news by about 48 hours, but ummm.... This is North Carolina, not Hollywood? Whats with all the quakes lately?

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - A 2.6 earthquake classified as "micro" rattled the Triad area Tuesday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter was about 3 miles east-northeast of Winston-Salem at 4:56 a.m. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
One resident said the quake felt like a large boom that lasted just a second or two.
"We haven't heard of there being any damage or anything, and typically you're not going to experience that" with a quake this small, said Amy Vaughan, a geophysicist with the USGS in Golden, Colo.
She said though unusual for North Carolina, a quake of this magnitude would not be noticed in earthquake-prone California.
Winston-Salem police reported getting around 150 calls from locals wondering what happened.
"They reported a loud explosion and ground shaking," said Lt. David Kiger with the Winston-Salem Police Department. "They just want to know what was going on."
On June 15, a 3.1-magnitude earthquake shook buildings and rattled dishes in at least four western North Carolina counties. That quake was centered 28 miles north of Franklin and felt from Maggie Valley to Bryson City to Cashiers.
The biggest earthquake to shake North Carolina was on Feb. 21, 1916. The 5.2-magnitude quake centered near Waynesville, also in the western part of the state, toppled chimneys and sent people rushing into the street, according to the USGS.
Minor damage from that temblor was felt as far away as Kentucky, West Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee, according to the USGS.

I played the arrogant jerk at work today. Practically no one there has ever spent more than a week in CA except me...I lived there for 7 years.
They we all buzzing about the quakes and I said "When you've been through one higher than 5.0, then come talk to me". _________________ Procrastinate now, don't wait until later. |

and where you been? Site has been nothing but religion and anti-religion posts for quite some time.
New readers will run away seeing that as the majority topic. I know I've come back less because it's been the same dull stuff. |

It's been a crazy, crazy week.... I'm working an off schedule training for a different position at work. I come home and dad crashed the main computer he plays pogo on. So I tried to install Ubuntu. That sucked, so then I reinstalled windows. Mom broke the toilet handle at the same time, and they still haven't bought a house. Then I fixed my car because the muffler fell off, and now it's smoking. But the good news is Google seems as though it's fixed itself with this site (thank you Google). It actually shows up on page 1 rather then page 4 as it has for the last few months. Traffic is returning today to the site, and I think things are going to really liven up here.
I've been keeping my head out of the whole RMA report, and making some technical changes to the site.
I've also had a good case of writers block. But... I'm here, and been observing things from afar the best I can. |

Especially since you keep wanting to insert religion into the science forum. What's the deal with that? My thread I posted there today had nothing to do with religion, but you had to go and insert it in anyway, didn't you? _________________ Carl Sagan:

Oh and I suppose this is the correct forum to complain and cry. |

Oh, I'm not complaining. Just pointing out a little hypocrisy. |

I posted in the RELIGION forum about you posting there. I didn't go to the MAIN FORUM to complain it about did I?
Besides, explain to me how I brought religion into the science forum.... My post there was far from being a religious-oriented post. On the other hand your posts in the religion forum are ALL anti-faith posts.
Who is the hypocrite?
This is my last post on the main forum about this. |

But, yes... I know this is a science forum so I won't go any further into from a faith-based perspective.
I rest my case. |
