Bush's belief in religion is dangerous.

Caught this on Digg this morning. Author and Scientist Richard Dawkins saying leaders who are believers in religion are "dangerous." (paraphrasing)

The author also goes on to talk about Einsteinian religion: the belief you can be awed by unknown wonders, yet still not believe in a deity. Alot of conversation has mirrored this lately.

It brings the question I often ponder: Is Bush any different then the Muslim extremists that flew the planes into the twin towers? He's as sure about being right about his crusade as were they.

I thought the last comment of the author was interesting...

Quote:
"I don't believe we were put here to be comfortable"

I wonder who he thinks "put" us here and decided what our "purpose" is supposed to be.

Dawkins is a truly brilliant man. That was a very fair interview and I think he pretty much summed up what it is to be a non-believer. Very well done on both sides.
