So I'm addicted to soda. I've tried the 12 step plan, going cold turkey, switching to water. It doesn't work. Though the cigarette industry has gotten a bad name, we've given a free pass to the the real culprits of addiction- the beverage companies. Yes their addictive blend of caffeine and sugar has left numerous amounts of Americans with a habit for the sweet-yummy goodness of soda.

Believe me when I say I'm a purist. I don't like genetically mutated soda. I like pure unadulterated naturally sugared Pepsi and Coke. However, being I'm diabetic and afraid of dieing in the next week or so, I recently have switched to Pepsi One.

Let me explain the taste of Pepsi one for those of you who have never had the pleasure of tasting it. At first you taste it and it's pretty good. Sweet, Cold Refreshing... you gulp, and gulp quenching your thirst... then as it hits your stomach and your body starts to cramp, the bitter after-taste of Splenda fills your taste-buds. This is what I would expect arsenic to taste like. It's like licking a lumber jack's foot, combined with a medicinal taste of Robitussin.

I mean come on Pepsi... one calorie? Is this even scientifically possible? I'm mean I'd be willing to accept 2 calories, or even three for a little bit better taste. Sure its better then the original diet Pepsi.... anything is better then that crap. I'd rather drink oil drippings of the parking lot pavement then drink that stuff.

"Great New Taste"

That's what is says on the can. Who comes up with this crap. Why is it great? Just because I can dissolve concrete with the stuff doesn't make it great.

Nutrition Facts

I'm excited about drinking something as healthy as Pepsi one. It has alot of nutrition according to the label.... let see here...

1 Calorie
0 Fat
35MG Sodium
0 Carbs
0 Protein

YES!! 1% of my daily intake of sodium. Now I can quit taking my vitamins. Never mind with vegetables, this clearly is the fountain of youth.
