12 Commandments bookmark.
I'm not kidding you. My kid came home, not with candy, but a bookmark with the 12 commandments. Okay?
Seriously whats with everyone buy crappy candy too?
My dad happened to go trick or treating with us last night. He made the comment "well candy is getting so expensive."
I'm like "Dad, $20.00 for four bags of candy isn't going to bankrupt someone."
So for all you cheapskates who bought a 400 count bag of dum-dums for $2.99 at Wal-Mart or even worst never passed anything out, you have reached a new unbelievable low.
Worst yet are the people who leave their porch lights on, and arn't there. Whats wrong with you people? |

I know people that make baggies full of candy and insert a bible scripture in each one. I think its a pretty cool idea. A bookmark ain't a bad idea either. Of course you have to have some good candy in the bag though. _________________ "Has it ever occurred to you that nothing ever occurs to God?" |

The other two commandments were:
XI: Thou shalt honor thy past as well as thy future.
XII: Thou shalt have a wicked trick for those who do not have a lucious treat.
No philosphy or theology should be included unless it honors the holiday at hand. Halloween is a Celtic Holiday, so Druids and Wizards and Witches should be honored for their skill and knowledge of the path into the veiled world. Let the preists exorcise the dark and troubled spirits, but many other spirits are our friends and gaurdians. This is the time to bid them adieu and thank them for their watchful "eyes" and blessed lives.
Oh, I saw your Devil's Tramping Ground blog but could not find it on your home page. You did not find the DTG but you did find the site of a new and apparently very large development that is going in just down the road. In fact, the road is now called "Devil's Tramping Ground Road." If you go to Siler City on 421, just follow the local signs to the airport (these are the little green signs with an airplane on them) and keep going past the airport on Airport Road. About 7 or 8 miles it comes to an intersection and turns into DTG Road. Another mile or two and you will see a very shallow turn out on the right with what looks like an old logging road leading up to a small clearing. There is always burnt sticks and campfire remnants in the center as this is a local beer spot for the locals at night. It looks pretty trashy these days. Check out this Myspace blog for some fresh details:
Have a great day!
