The World's Fastest Indian, was an awesome movie! It's so crazy that the main character (Burt) played by Anthony Hopkins reminds me so much of my Grandfather. My grandfather was a diesel mechanic from WWII and was a constant tinkerer and motor-head. The man drove around with a toolbox in his car, and practically had tools on him at any moment. A little bit Macgyver, and part genius- everyone he met, became his friend. This was exactly how Burt built his motorcycle, travelled to America, and broke the land speed record for Speed Week at the Desert Salt Flats.

I'm sure alot of people thought this movie was about an actual Indian. It isn't. I also wonder if the title is the reason, that this movie hasn't made big waves. It is without a doubt, one of the greatest movies ever produced. The movie's title comes from the name of the Motorcycle, much like Harley Davidson, Indian is a brand.

But this isn't any normal motorcycle, but a hand built one that is constructed with a door hinge, and a cork among other things. Hopkin's character has a life-long dream of breaking the land speed record. He ends up using his collateral to finance his dream, and ships his "creation" to America where he works as a chef on the boat to pay his fare. Along the way he meets alot of people before attempting his final challenge.

Great Movie and Definitely worth seeing.
