What HIT TV Show would you like to see be brought back?

Most definately, Perfect Strangers. Bronson Pinchot should definitely bring back his character of Balki Bartokomous, the European immigrant holding the sign "America or Bust" having newly arrived in the U.S. Of course there was no Tea Party then to deport him back to the island of Malpos, Greece. America seemed so much different then, like anything was possible. Perhaps this time Bronson could re-imagine the roll as a Mexican or middle-eastern immigrant?

Don't be ridiculous!

Sometimes the world looks perfect,
Nothing to rearrange.
Sometimes you get a feeling
Like you need some kind of change.
No matter what the odds are this time,
Nothing's going to stand in my way.
This flame in my heart,
And a long lost friend
Gives every dark street a light at the end.

Standing tall, on the wings of my dream.
Rise and fall, on the wings of my dream.

The rain and thunder
The wind and haze
I'm bound for better days.
It's my life and my dream,
Nothing's going to stop me now.

If the America of today met the America of Balki's time, we would indeed be "perfect strangers."

I want them to bring back Alien Nation. I really loved that show. :(

You know... having stopped watching nearly all TV these days, I can't think of a single defunct TV show that I really wish would come back. It's sort of like when MASH left. I had not been able to watch the show because I was working 3rd shift during its final 4 seasons, and this was before we could afford such a luxury as a VCR. So when the country went crackers over the series finale, I was like "Really? WTF??"

I bet a modern day version of MASH would be very popular with the Fox News base.

I show you something fantastic and you find fault.

MASH was an anti-war show, as was the movie it was based on. Unless they revived it as an anti-MASH, I kinda doubt the Fox crowd would be amused.

Book on which the Movie on which the TV Show - was based

The TV show was a pale shadow of the book and movie. Alda was a mediocre Hawkeye and the show quickly became maudlin, losing the edge the book and movie had.

I agree.

Another show I was very fond of was Northern Exposure. I sure miss that quirky bunch.

My luck they'll bring back the horrid Cosby show.

I really think 'bringing back' shows is what's wrong with so much television.

A series like Fawlty Towers was excellent, each of the twelve episodes was good and the series never had a chance to become stale. So many successful series are repeated and repeated until the actors get tired and the show jumps the shark. (As Top Gear has for example)

Far better to stop and leave on a high note and put some effort into ideas for the next show.

Dunno... still loving Top Gear.....

My opinion is still out whether they should have cancelled Doctor Who after Davies departure.

Then there's Primeval, which did get cancelled then brought back to life... and I still love it.

One UK reboot we'd love to see is Gavin & Stacey.

And movies

And stage productions.

I generally cringe when I see a re-make or a sequel come to the theaters. Unless I hear some extremely positive things, I avoid them totally.

Something has to happen here in the States... there's a lack of decent television at the moment.

Oh my hell....I had completely forgotten about that awful show. :?

Never mind bringing shows back...there are some shows out now that should never have been aired in the first place and the fact that they're still rolling scares the crap out of me. I mean really, what does it say about our culture when shows like "Pregnant in heels" about pregnant bridezillas are still on the air?
