Perhaps with 10% of the population out of work we will began to wake up from this nightmare.
America didn't get a clue in the Great Depression, when over 20% of the people were out of work. Why should a little inconvenience like this change anyone's mind?
Technically I don't think it's over. I think we're just warming up here.... If we don't see Tier 5 of UE, I suspect this fall is going to be the ledge....
I think the GOP knows this. I think that's why we have this UE fiasco... 10% represents the amount of people on unemployment not the unemployed. (I think... right?) So... when the 99ers fall off of tier 4 this fall I think we will see a huge amount of people lose their homes, etc....
Seriously... I believe this is the GOPs plan to get back into office this fall... sabotage America... technically I know that's their plan... but they know they have a sure thing if all the poor people are living on the streets with no cars or homes. At that point they won't vote, and these angry tea-partiers and wealthy elite will be the ones who do.
The one thing I can say about America, despite my often displeasure with it, is never count us out for a comeback. I wasn't around during the depression, but I have a strong suspicion that when America finally has its epiphany, its day of enlightenment and realize exactly how insecure and false the American dream is.... change won't be a political mantra, it will be the demand of its people.
On the other hand.. I could be completely wrong... and I will continue to look for job opportunities in Moscow.
