The kids and I are always trying new recipes for kid stuff and I came across this play-dough recipe using everyone's favorite Koolaid. This recipe is by far one of the best play-dough ones I've tried. It's super easy and most importantly quick with very little clean up. Here goes:

    Homemade Playdough Recipe
1C. flour, 1tbs. vegetable oil, a dry packet of koolaide, 1/4C. salt, 2tbs. cream of tarter, 1 C. water

Add all these ingredients into a saucepan and stir over medium heat until it forms a ball. It took us about five minutes. Remove it from the pan and knead it until it's smooth. This took no time at all, but make sure you let it cool before you give it to the kids. The best plan is to put it in a Ziplock bag and put it into the fridge for a bit. The kids went crazy over the terrific scent of the playdough from their favorite kool aid. Unlike some recipes I've tried this seems to keep fairly well too if you place it in a ziplock bag. This is my recommendation for an easy, quick method for entertaining restless children. Give them some plastic spoons and cookie cutters and they'll have a blast for a good amount of time. I must admit that I too enjoyed playing with this batch. I made a wicked play dough pizza and my rendition of Scooby's Mystery Machine.
