ATL Kobalt Tools 500, crashes and tire tests

Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Kobalt Tools 500. It's not a sold out event, but "Stands not an indicator of Atlanta's Place in NASCAR".Last year's winner, Jimmie Johnson, starts 11th; however his teammate, Jeff Gordon, is the polesitter. This should be an interesting start to the race for Sanjuro... Dale Earnhardt Jr is on the outside pole.

And with the Darlington renovations which included paving the track, the "Too Tough to Tame" Goodyear tire test is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, March 10-11. Jeff Gordon, Greg Biffle and Ryan Newman are part of the event. I cannot wait to hear the results... a virgin surface. No debris, no rubber, nothing. Wonder what the grip is gonna be like...
