Ron Gibson calls himself a "Bishop" in his church, and talks in the interview about how his extreme wealth is OK with God, and how he has to have money in order to bless the poor.
This forum is called "WWJD?" -- I have a few ideas of what Jesus would do with "Bishop" Gibson.
Rev3:1-6 wrote:And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
I know... coming from an atheist, it sounds strange that I would care what a religious hypocrite does with the money he fleeces from the believers he fools. But I have read the Gospels better than most believers, and I have a good idea what Jesus thought of such despicable people that would take money given in faith by poor people and use that money to live lavish lives in opulence that few in AMERICA could barely dream of.
It irks me more than a lot of the crap that goes on these days. It's a damn shame that there IS no god around to visit justice on scam artists like "Bishop" Ron Gibson in THIS life.
