Commit Suicide. Over, and over, and over, and over again.

Good news for those who enjoy the thrill of killing themselves without actually going all the way....

If you’ve ever felt like jumping off the top of the Stratosphere after losing all your money in Las Vegas, you’ll soon get the chance — without the messy conclusion.

Opening in April, the $3.6-million SkyJump thrill ride atop the 1,149-foot-tall Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel & Casino will feature a controlled free fall similar to skydiving or base-jumping.

Connected by a cable to a high-speed “descender” machine, riders wearing jumpsuits and harnesses will leap from the edge of the observation tower toward a landing platform 855 feet below. Guide wires will keep jumpers from slamming into the tower’s cement columns.

Cost per jump: $100, which includes a short safety lesson.

SkyJump will join a trio of thrill rides atop Stratosphere: the X-Scream teeter-totter, the Insanity spinning arm and the Big Shot drop tower. The High Roller coaster closed in 2005.

A similar SkyJump attraction in Auckland, New Zealand, shown in the video above, features an 11-second, 629-foot drop. cite

Bungee jumps off the Jefferson-Pilot building over Elm St? That would rock!
