No more Barstow, CA signs!

The sign on I-40, just outside of Wilmington, giving the mileage to the far end of the Interstate in CA apparently gets stolen a lot. So many times that the state has decided to stop replacing it. Well, that's just terrific.

I guess folks will just have to go back to stealing the signs for Climax.... :twisted:

Wouldn't happen if they put a CCTV on the thing....

Secondly, this is a perfect oprotunity for a city say like hmmmm.... Greensboro? To step up and take over and put one up here... So what if it gets stolen, I'm sure the cost of replacing it would be worth the number of free advertising by placing the "Welcome to Greensboro" sign right on top!!!
