Rift: Life

Went to the doctors. Got a prescription... guess what? Health Care doesn't cover it, so I call around. Call CVS who want $149.00 for the medicine, then I call Wal-Mart... $119.00. Well that sure is nice. Being CVS is closer to my house then Wal-Mart, I call CVS back and ask if they'll price match. The answer? A Resounding "NO". Wow... Shocked, am I. I even took it a step further to clarify the issue by calling corporate and speaking with "Jackie". Sure enough, CVS would rather me go to Wal-Mart then match the price. Well In that case, I hope they buy your CVS butts out.... and pave over the building with a giant parking lot. That's just Dumb.

That's what happens when you get a non-standard disease. How dare you?

I am going to be crass here , stomp on the boundaries, get really personal and nosy and ask Liv to let us know how the stuff works for her and how she feels while taking it, etc. BUT ONLY IF she feels like sharing Forgive me for doing so but what you are being treated for affects umm, tons of us ... or if not us directly, our family, friends, etc. and I would love to know if it is effective. Liv, regardless of the number on your dress size, you are still a goddess- but now I want you as my voice of experience!

No, it's cool... I've actually lost alot of weight this year... but I asked about it just to see if I could quicken the process at all. I'll lose it either way, but I wasn't about to pretend I'm too proud for a little bit of help on the side. It's just shocking to me, as to what benefit it has to keep people fat, when their health conditions I would think cause alot more health problems then a thin person. I mean, I'm losing weight because of diet and exercise.... I've finally found an approach that works... but the "past" me, and many other people don't have such as luck... I just find it interesting health-care doesn't pay for something that could make someone healthier.
