Can we just STOP with the new acronyms? PLEASE?

I'm looking over a test document for a web app where I'm working. It's just a regular Java system, the sort you encounter at a bank or airline. I start looking through the first test case, and I encounter the acronym "HUI." I wonder... is this a typo where the "G" in "GUI" (graphical user interface) was mistyped with the letter right next to it? The context where I see this thing seems to support that guess. So I flip to the first page of the document... and there it is:
HUI - Human User Interface
WTF? Or perhaps I should update this to QTF??
Everyone in the programming world has used GUI for years. What the heck is wrong with it? It DESCRIBES what you are concerned with -- an interface that the USER uses... and it's GRAPHICAL. HUMAN USER is redundant. It means nothing... it could be graphical, or physical. Who can tell? And how many non-Humans would use it?
Bloody idiots who want to be different without good reason. Why do I have to put up with thoughtless twits like this!?
