How far gone would you have to be?

OK, so you're scanning the internet for a unique gift to give someone REALLY special. And let's say you have oh... a half-million bucks to lay out.

How about a watch that DOESN'T TELL TIME???

Yeah... that's the ticket!

ut is does tell you whether it's day or night:

The Day&Night is graced with the first Romain Jerome movement, the ‘RJ One’ movement developed exclusively for RJ by BNB Concept.

I imagine this would be THE watch for a blind person who can't tell if it's dark and has to ask what time it is.

My watch does tell me the sunrise and sunset times - and it uses the WWVB time signal from Colorado to synchronise with the Atomic Clock. It's also solar powered to eliminate the tedious battery changes every 4 years. As you can tell I'm a bit of a geek.

My eldest son however is a total geek and proud of it, so he has a binary watch. He's got pretty good at reading it, I can but it takes me too long.

All stupid ideas pass through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is ridiculed. Third, it is ridiculed

I seem to recall that the ad says it switches over every 12 hours. So it's only useful on the equator, or around the equinoxes.

I see you're right.
The timepiece comprises two Tourbillons based on a differential system whose energy transmission symbolises the passage from one life to another. Each of the Tourbillon movements defines and counts a slice of life corresponding to twelve hours. The ‘Day’ Tourbillon works during the day life and stops after 12 hours, handing over to the ‘Night’ Tourbillion.

I'd like to hope that my ' passage from one life to another' would last longer than 12 hours, but then I'm not a potential customer.

The thing about this night/day watch that REALLY gets to me -- the initial run sold out in 48 hours.

I heard about that on the radio.

For the people that can afford it, I suppose it's all they need.
This is our chance to change things, this is our destiny.
