middle school

today as i looked thru-out this website i realized how many people give a lot of there time to these posts. and then that lead me to want to write one of my own. but what about? i am only 13 what good things could i write about then it hit me, middle school. it is a time that we will always remember. but why, why do we remember it and not elementary school. i figured it out, it is because everyone changes during middle school. The girls the guys never liked grow those double d`s and hit popularity. also most everyone has there 1st kiss in middle school, though i haven't. middle school years are the best i mean your grades don`t count so everyone goes crazy. i mean really think about your middle school years. those teachers everyone laughed at and the geeks every one thought would never make it thru life(But look at Bill Gates). and then those guys you fantasize over i mean i was in love with a 7th grader. But why do we fantasize over the guys i mean they are just guys. i think its cause it gives us something to talk about. but no matter why you like middle school it is really the best.

I've written about High-School, and a little bit about one of my Elementary schools in Ohio, and following up on an old friend many years later. I moved around alot when I was a kid. Went to 3 different schools by the time my family moved to Greensboro. I went to GMS (Guilford Middle School) starting in 3rd grade, where I quickly learned what the middle finger is, and how to give it to my teacher. I also learned about North Carolina's liberal corporal punishment laws.

Really from then till college I had my head in a hole. Sort of misdirected, and really didn't care about much other then the day to day life. I regret the absence of focus in my life during that time, but then again, I wouldn't be who I am without travelling down the road I have.

I guess if I could tell myself then what I know now, I'd advise myself to relax a bit more and question every fact you're given by every teacher, your parents, and even yourself. Don't blatantly assume someone is right, because 99% of the B.S. I accumulated is in those years of life. I wasn't much into relationships back then, but I can firmly say the most important things I've taken with me in those years were from the weirdest people at that time. It's the different, and interesting people that are fun to befriend. Those are the future money makers, artists, and geniuses of your generation. That cool kid you've got a crush on will probably be selling mobile homes for the family business with 16 children on welfare in 20 years.

Well that's my philosophy...

Oh, and if you ever have the urge to drive off in a Mustang someday 3000 miles to Hollywood... Call your parents the next morning so they don't worry.

By the way, Welcome to Greensboring.
This is our chance to change things, this is our destiny.

I had a miserable time in Middle school. I recall my three years at Allen (it was Allen Junior High in those days) with much loathing and bitterness. It was there that I had my heart broken by the only girl that bothered with me while we were there. It was there that one girl from my neighborhood walked up to me and kicked me in the balls on a dare. It was there that I got held back in my math education, which haunted me for the rest of my life. Thinking through that three-year period, I recall a lot of vivid memories, but not a single one of them is what I'd call "good."

I hope your life runs better. I almost has to...
