Ugliest people in the world?

by SouthernFriedInfidel | Published on November 12th, 2009, 7:53 am | Life
A dating elitist web site that prides itself on picking only "beautiful people" for membership says that the British are the worst people in the world, appearance-wise. A higher percentage of UK wannabe beauties are rejected than those from any other country.

Shame on ANY person who feels they could have their worth validated by these snobs based on their appearance. IMHO, beauty has a lot less to do with appearances and a lot more to do with character.

And yes, I admit that I'm one extremely unattractive person, physically. However, I've been around long enough to learn that initial attraction based on appearances can so easily turn to revulsion... based on holding actual conversations. OTOH, getting past initial bad impressions from appearances and finding friends or even lovers is sometimes difficult, but worth the effort.

That's a very bigoted news release IMHO....

Certainly, beauty, even physical beauty is beyond a single definition. If we're talking "Hollywood Marketing" beauty, even then, you only need to visit certain parts of London to find very gorgeous people.

Is an Ethiopian kid living in a mud puddle less beautiful than Angelina Jolie? Uh no.

Ohhhh... This makes me mad.... What a load of horse manure!

Seriously... I'd love to see what the website's owners look like. Bloody Hell.
This is our chance to change things, this is our destiny.

This reminds me of a story on Morning Edition today about the craze for skin-lightening cosmetics in India. People can make tons of money just by offering them something to change their appearance, because very few are actually satisfied with theirs.

Location: 5th circle of hell -- actually not very crowded at the moment.
There was some guy on tv the other day who admitted to using a skin bleach... Boxer? Baseball guy or something?

Anyhow... Yeah... here I am wishing I had a bit more skin pigmentation.

That reminds me of those nightclubs that have a sign saying "Some of the most beautiful women in {City} walk through these doors"

I always felt like asking "So where do the nice ones go?"

And as for ugly men, this is how Cassanova "the worlds greatest lover" or at least the world's greatest advertiser was described

Prince Charles de Ligne wrote:He would be a good-looking man if he were not ugly; he is tall and built like Hercules, but of an African tint; eyes full of life and fire, but touchy, wary, rancorous—and this gives him a ferocious air. It is easier to put him in a rage than to make him gay. He laughs little, but makes other laugh. ... He has a manner of saying things which reminds me of Harlequin or Figaro, and which makes them sound witty

I rather like that. I too would be a good looking guy, if I were not ugly. I would be fit too, if I were not out of condition and somewhat overweight. If I wasn't so old I would be young too.
All stupid ideas pass through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is ridiculed. Third, it is ridiculed
