Millions are still not ready for digital

I see that even after being given a couple extra months to get these converter boxes for digital TV, millions are supposedly still not set. Oh well. Maybe they can go out and buy a good book until they can get straightened out. Can;t hurt.

On a side note. I don't know how many folks I told about this, but the other week when I experienced my car accident, a local guy came over to see what was happening. During the wait for police attention, he regaled us with his wisdom about the government. Including how the digital signals are going to be used to spy on all Americans.

Except for those who don't buy boxes. They'll probably be reading "Catcher in the Rye" anyway, so the government will know... :twisted:

Yeah, that's a huge urban legend right now... Shan says it's all the buzz at work.... people are literally refusing to upgrade because they believe the DTV upgrade is only to install cameras in every house... sort of stupid since some of us have decent tvs without the boxes...

I ordered my two free boxes but have no use for them.... I think I'll go sell them at Food Lion for $100.00 a pop.

First take them apart and remove the HD video camera and recorder, the GPS tracking Unit and the cell phone to call home.

Are there really that many people out that that are going to be affected by this? The numbers seem absurd.

Yeah, for people not to know about this they would have to be living in questionable circumstances or mentally incapacitated.

Honestly, if people switch off (whether by choice or by $hitty tv reception) it can't be a bad thing.

As far as the nutty conspiracies, I guess they might start thinking for themselves and that could be a threat to the status-quo I suppose. :clap:
