Looking for a Pirate flag in Greensboro

Hey Greensboro gang! Need to find a pirate flag by next weekend. Can any of you point me to a local source?

Already tried:

Party City
Garden Ridge
Target

Most places had everything from pirate hats, to pirate stickers and pirate belt buckles and pink Jolly Roger towels and...well YOU NAME IT! But no flag. How funny.

I have a pirate flag that I got when I bought "Pirates of the Caribbean" last year. If I can dig it up, would that suit?

Makes no difference to me. I have no use for it until possibly 2010... I'll keep in touch, just in case.

I have one, but it is currently doubling as a curtain for my bathroom window, so ....arrgh...me neighbors won't see me nether regions :mrgreen:

Perhaps you like the pirate flag as a curtain thing (I certainly don't want to offend), but.... I found this great product at Lowe's which are super cheap, and look great. They're basically paper blinds, come 3 in a box, and only about $9 for a set. Did my whole house for $18 and too me they're better looking then traditional plastic blinds.... Plus, one-size-fits-all... just trim with scissors.

Not a mall rat anymore, but I doubt Spencer's.... and Hot Topic might have a handkerchief, but I doubt a flag...

You could try calling a couple of the college's prop departments and see if they'd lend you one for a small donation to their program.

Yeah, Party City (both locations) are just now putting out the deco... Unfortunately the pirate section is mostly a sea of pegs. (not peg-legs :D )

Hey Sanjuro - I've got a pirate flag you can borrow (or replace later down the line if needed) :lol:

Haven't used it since the Buffett concert - let me dig it out and we'll work out getting it to you in time for next weekend.

Thanks! My folks have those at their house. I didn't realize that they were that cheap!

Well, unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend, so I ended up having to order one on-line with 2 day air. Ugh.

Some good news (Not for me since its too late) but perhaps for other locals in the same position I was a few months ogo... once again, downtown Greensboro wins where others fail.

"Glitters" downtown had the flag I was looking for. I had gone in based on a tip that I might be able to find a Jesus action figure there, and while browsing I discovered the flag. It was a few blocks away the whole time and I never knew it!

BTW, that store is great. I hadn't actually been in years. I know where I'm going for my next gift, and the staff were very pleasant and friendly. No kidding, they were way nicer than the Christian book stores I went to previously that day (I have a witness!-no pun).

So anyway, if you're local, looking for pretty much ANYTHING and cant find it anywhere, go to Glitters downtown. Well worth it!
