REcall a while back, when the FLDS compound in Texas was raided and hundreds of children were carted away? And a dozen or so members of the fundy Mormons were charged with bigamy, sex with underage children and so forth? Well the first trial is getting set to start.

The fun thing about the jury selection process? Several church members are in the pool of potential jury members! When their Glorious Prophet of unlimited young sex for men was arrested, many of them decided to register to vote, hoping to be called for jury duty. Some were, and they showed up to be considered. And they did it in their traditional 19th century prairie garb.

How bloody stupid are these people? Do they actually think any prosecutor will accept any of them as "impartial" jurors in these cases? Or are they just trying to slow the process down by gumming up the works of the trials? They ought to be charged with contempt of court.

Boy, they didn't waste any time convicting the first fellow. It's a shame that they didn't go for convicting him for statutory rape. Maybe they don't have that in Texas?
