How NOT to cruise with Disney

Heard of this on TV tonight. I guy was driving his girlfriend and her kids down to Port Canaveral from Charlotte to take them on a Disney cruise. But he sort of had a problem: he couldn't get the money to make the final payment he'd need to pull it off. His solution: Rob a bank on the way.

Myself, I understand how the guy felt. You don't want kids to think you went back on a promise -- not one of THIS magnitude -- or that you're a loser. But really, the guy needed a LITTLE more forethought for the project. As in: ask Disney to re-book you for a cruise NEXT year, and stop buying smokes or something to make sure you hit the new date.

Now the GF and kids KNOW he's a huge loser. And he'll have a damn hard time living it all down with the folks he'll meet in prison.

Basic "Fish out of Water" type fare, huh? I look back on the weeks I spent at the age of 16, knocking around southern Europe and staying in hostels. Venice, Florence, Rome, Geneva... Learned a lot about people and about myself. One of the best summers of my whole life.

Agree... last fall was the most amazing time of my life.

There's a show in the U.K. called "An Idiot Abroad" which I've always felt should be led by an American rather than Pinkerton (the guy who is the idiot).

Hell, when we went to Paris in Feb, I purposely booked hostels so Shan could get the feel of all of it.
