King Grover working to quell rebellion

What The Funk?

It's been in the news all weekend: There are some Republican lawmakers, both in the Senate and House, that are indicating that they finally realize that a deal to avoid the "Fiscal Cliff" in January will require some tax increases. Which is RANK HERESY in relation to the no tax pledge signed by many. The Holy Grover Norquist is now vowing to punish any pledge signatory that doesn't fight against tax increases.

As expected, the pathetic results of engaging in absolute thinking are coming to light here. Grover cares nothing at all that a small tax increase on 1% of the population is better than a large increase on all. In service of his absolutist view on taxes, he would happily send the nation over this "cliff." The economy could be tossed into horrific chaos for all he cares, but so long as his thralls don't vote to increase taxes, he'll be satisfied.

I hope that he DOES try to get several Republicans tossed out of office in 2014... and that he'll fail abjectly. That might just give him the hint that he's not welcome in the realm of American king-makers.
