I wonder if this sells more or fewer cars for Wolf Automotive Group?

Image
The sign, completed Thursday by artist David Lee of Arvada, shows a grinning, cartoonish Obama and bears the words: “PRESIDENT or JIHAD?”

Underneath the image is a yellow square with the phrase, “BIRTH CERTIFICATE, PROVE IT!”

The words “WAKE UP AMERICA! REMEMBER FT. HOOD” appear at the bottom of the billboard at Wolf Interstate Leasing and Sales about seven miles west of Denver

Looks like this guy had way too much that he wanted to say, and couldn't figure out how to get it all on a board. Apparently, he doesn't realize that drivers can only scan a board as they drive past for at most 2 seconds. Poor dope.

I sure as heck wouldn't buy one from them.... they're in Colorado... They have rust.... I've made new rule... only purchase vehicles from racists birth certificate demanding southern dealerships.... though the guy doesn't look white to me from the photo????
This is our chance to change things, this is our destiny.

How about "Don't expect a 16 year old car to be in great shape - even if it was owned by granny and only driven to the shops and back"

I've had more trouble form old low-mileage vehicles than I ever had from young high mileage ones.

Now obviously, according to BHL's reasoning, this means I am secretly jealous of your car and really wanted a '93 Taurus when I bought my last car, but for some inexplicable reason bought something else.

Yeah... had no clue.... Just amazing to me... this car was garaged even.... but that may be some of it... I suspect some of these bolts haven't been loosened since it left the assembly line....

What scares me is Grandma was driving around on 3 broken coil springs and front calipers which have never been bled....

I consider this the curse of my Grandparents at this point.

3 broken springs? How the F did that happen? I have never come across a broken coil spring and I've bought some beaten up POS in my time and then beaten them some more.

That must have been some bridge she jumped!

Well apparently they're quite common on the Tauruses in the rust belt. There was a recall on this car about 10 years ago, which this car had but all they did was bolt a plastic deflector shield around the strut where the bottom of the spring sits in the front. Apparently quite a few shoot off while driving at speed and shred tires.....

As soon as I got into the brakes, I realized the rears were broke and assumed all 4 was so I bought a new set of Intrax springs.... So far I've managed to get 3 in. One to go!!!! I know the last one is broke, but laughed when I pulled the one out yesterday which was fine. I'm thinking I should sell it on Ebay as the strongest Taurus spring evar!

What's odd is the one good one was the passenger front. I would have assumed since we drive on the right side of the road and with puddles and stuff that it would have broken before the others.... but apparently not. I can only assume the only reason this one survived is the lack of a passenger weight???

Anyhow.... The new springs are about twice the gauge of the factory ones.... So this should not be a problem ever again.... I imagine the springs will outlast the car....

I'll try to post pictures if I ever get the thing finished... but I gave up on the write up after replacing brake pads turned into replacing the entire freaking suspension and brakes.

BTW, love that scene.... love it.
