So Sue thinks Chili doesn't have tomatoes. Personally I say no beans allowed. In fact many authentic chili connoisseurs believe Chili with beans is an abomination. I'm not saying she's wrong, but I'm pretty fond of my little Chuck Wagon chili I make. I do also make one without tomatoes, but only as a condiment chili to go on hamburgers, etc.

Tonight I had two big bowls, with some corn bread and a Guinness. Perfect for our chilly night here in the Triad.

I suppose that's why G-d made vanilla and chocolate. And strawberry. Yours wouldn't sell in my house nor mine in yours. When's the next chili cook-off?

I believe chili has beef cubes and tomatoes per original Texas chili, and then whatever spices you like, I've made it a couple of times with (and no one could tell the difference) Morningstar Crumblers, always use low sodium tomatoe products. I make it mostly with chicken breast cubes and no one knows, I told them one day and I got a lot of uh huh, thought something was different.....no they didn't.

To me this, mine, tastes very eerily similar to Chili's chili... which also happens to be one of my favorites....
