So this is trippy. So according to Bishop Speyer, Saint Christopher was a reformed werewolf. Apparently this came about as someone mis-translated Latin: that Cananeus meant canineus or "canine". Apparently it made it's way into the new testament as the a sect of cannanites (if I'm understanding this correctly) who were "people" who barked and ate human flesh. wiki

I just love the Egyptian overtones of all this... and I want a print of that for the living room wall.

Apparently Saint Christopher, if your mother so named you Chris because of this- lost his sainthood in 1969 because the church doesn't believe he really ever existed. Or are they just cleaning up some dirty portions of their religion?
