For those of you who found a different # on the Fedwire site, you may find it helpful to know that some banks use a different routing # for wire transfers. I believe the Fedwire site is for people looking for wire routing #s. So both sites are likely correct, just for different types of transactions.

I called to verify. TN is correct. It's too bad they do not have this list on their official website. Oh, and for everyone saying there is an extra number, you are wrong. Routing numbers consist of 9 digits.

The Bank address states Baton Rouge LA but I live in TEXAS.

For general interest, in Canada the routing (transit) numbers follow the form

XXXXX-YYY

YYY is the bank number, 001=Bank of Montreal, 002 = Bank of Nova Scotia etc. (Interestingly the Government of Canada gets 117 and the Bank of Canada (central bank) 177. You'd think they'd be higher up in the queue

The XXXXX is the branch number and the last X indicates the provice. Since Canada has 10 provinces you'd think it would be an easy match up, but Quebec grabbed three numbers (because they're just so damned important or at least were when the rules were drawn up) and Ontario two, so Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Prince Eward Island have to share one.

1 are located in Western Québec including Montreal and surrounding areas
2 are located in Ontario including Toronto and surrounding area
3 are located in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland excluding Labrador
4 are located in New Brunswick
5 are located in Eastern Québec including Labrador
6 are located in Eastern Ontario including Ottawa and surrounding area
7 are located in Manitoba and North-Western Ontario
8 are located in Saskatchewan
9 are located in Alberta, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut
0 are located in British Columbia and Yukon

that was stated under the check at top of the page. is it an 8 or 9 digit?
also, EVERY chase bank in texas has the same routing number?
