I survived, but ironically and most sadly... Shannon's grandfather passed away.

Of all the dates, I find it coincidental weird.

3 doctors, thousands of dollars... and I'm done.

Apparently treatment in the country takes a medical emergency.

I trust in fate now.

This time she hinted at the "c" word.

Lovely.

The nice thing is that they do the x-rays on site thought rather than having them read "remotely"- like the previous ones were.

I'm hoping they find something rather than having to continue this charade, but no doubt it's likely we will.

To make matters worse, apparently my "allotted time" for my appointment wasn't enough for an entire evaluation, so they asked me to come back tomorrow. Of course that will cost more money too.

If Romney becomes president, I'm changing my degree type to 'medical doctor'. There's just too much money in it.

Last night after rolling on my side I found an intensely painful area several inches above the right hip.

I've decided it's still likely the appendix, which was my first original thought before all this began anyways.

I'm going for a second opinion this time, at the student health center. Since it's not during the school year, it's another $65. I'm going to take in the tests I have previously, and push for a sonogram of the area- if not too expensive.

I'm working on a current hypothesis which seems to have had some positive results...

Without sounding like a complete homeopathic loon, I'm leaning tentatively towards candida overgrowth.

I'm a perfect candidate, I'm on estrogen, border-line diabetic, and I wear a partial with dental issue in the past.

I attempted approx 30 days of anti-biotics, and a few dozen doses of papaya seeds as an anti-parasitic, with little/no effect.

Then I check my PH, down below and it is overly acidic suggesting a bacterial infection.

I ordered some anti-fungal to give it a go, but they're on back-order in Vanuatu...

If that wasn't too much information, I think the "worm" may be fungus. I've yet to see these things move yet.

Loaiasis is pretty gross but unless you've been to Central or West Africa you're not likely to have it. I don't think it's a problem in Egypt

Gross images of Loaiasis can be found here
